I was going to spend new years eve at home, quietly getting drunk and watching some videos, just as I did last year. But after a drink or two I've suddenly got the urge to go out .. so now I'm going to spend new years eve in the city, loudly getting drunk, and god knows what else :)

And on that note I'd better hurry up and go and get ready.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow and that you get all you wish for. I know what I'm wishing for, but somehow I don't like my chances of finding Shane McMahon under the tree tomorrow morning wearing nothing but a big red bow ;)

Thank you to all of you for being the awesome group of people that you are. Hope you all have a happy and safe holiday :)

And now the rest of my evening will be spent drinking more bourbon, eating pizza, and watching old episodes of The X-Files. Merry Christmas indeed! :)

Somehow I managed to forget Armageddon was on today. Fortunately I just remembered so I've only missed a bit .. and since no results have been decided yet I'll quickly give my predictions:

- Batista
- Edge .. if A-Train wins I'll be forced to throw something at the television.
- Benoit
- Trish
- Booker T/Goldust
- Kurt *crossing fingers*
- Shawn Michaels vs Triple H - I think HBK will win the first fall, then Triple H will win the next two falls and the title.

Okay I'm off to actually watch it now :)

Time for the delayed squealing about Chris Issak! The man is just an absolutely amazing performer, I can't believe it took me this long to go and see him in concert. I was in the first row of the second level so I had a pretty good view. He first came out onstage wearing a blue suit and soon discarded the jacket to reveal a black see-through shirt, but much to the dismay of the ladies in the audience he was wearing a white singlet underneath! Later on he changed into the famous mirror-ball suit, unfortunately I didn't get a photo as my camera battery thought midway through the concert was an appropriate time to start dying! Anyway he was on stage for almost two hours and played all the classics plus a few songs off the new album, highlight for me was definitely hearing him sing Wicked Game, one of my favourite songs of all time.

At one point he got a group of women from the audience to come up on stage and dance behind him, one fortunate woman got an up close and personal hip-swivelling lesson from Chris (and boy does he do it well! *faints*) He asked her a question but all she could reply with was "oh my god you're hot!" and touched his face. Can't blame her! Then he disappeared off stage and suddenly appeared up on the first level! He ran up the stairs to the cheap seats and continued playing and singing before running back down and getting back on stage. He also showcased his drum-playing ability towards the end of the show while Kenny sang a song. It was just a fantastic concert and I can't wait for him to come out again, next time I'll definitely be trying to get a prime position down the front somewhere!

After the show he was going to come out a sign some autographs for people so I made my way back down to the foyer, it was just a madhouse! They'd set up this squared area which was just surrounded by people coming from all directions, they really should try and come up with a better system next time. I managed to push my way through the crowd with my camera in one hand and CD in the other, eventually making it up to the front. He stopped in front of me to sign someone's t-shirt and I was running through in my head what I wanted to say to him when he got to me, as you do, but then he looked up at me and smiled and said hello in that amazing voice of his and I just died. I managed to say hello but then conscious thought just flew out the window, the overwhelming hotness of him up close was just .. well overwhelming! He is so divine!! *sigh* I got him to sign the inside cover of my "Always Got Tonight" CD and managed to regain my speech long enough to blurt out thank you :)

Okay I think that's enough squealing! Here's a few photos from the concert itself and the signing afterwards ..

And I just went to check out this wicked concert photos website and discovered they've got a ton of close-up photos of Chris from the concert for sale. I'm going to try and restrain myself, but I have to get at least a couple .. like the hip-swivelling one .. and the sweaty one .. and the smiling one .. *dies* Ahem, don't mind me I'm fine :)

My computer was returned to me last night and everything seems to be running smoothly so far. Apparently they just reinstalled the hard drive or something and bam it started working. I'm just glad to have it back! And thankfully I didn't lose anything off it either, but tomorrow I'm going to be sitting down and doing a whole lot of backing up because I might not be so lucky next time.

I'm far too tired to think coherently at the moment so I think I'll sign off for now and just update things tomorrow .. still need to do some delayed squealing about the Chris Issak concert two weeks ago, and the overwhelming beauty of that man up close .. I'm actually going to get those photos developed tomorrow so I'll share a couple if they came out any good. The new icon has probably already given away the fact that I'm on a bit of a Chris kick at the moment *g*

The Die Another Day premiere was on tonight too, went along and managed to have a brief encounter with 007 himself .. but more on that tomorrow as well. For now, goodnight :)
